Happy New Year! I just applied to the WWTS Contest! My fingers and toes are crossed that this is my year! I have been writing for a number of years-taking courses, attending workshops, and developing my craft. I truly believe the next step in my writing journey, is connecting with a mentor. January 31st cannot come soon enough! My dream mentor is amongst the group. I’m ready to take on this opportunity.

Welcome! I'm Lee and I'm a writer, educator, and longtime member of the SCBWI, 12 x 12 Challenge, and Courage to Create/Verge Community. I have also been a teacher assistant with the Writing Barn, where I met my wonderful mentor, Carmen Oliver. Writing is and always will be one of my favorite things to do, but I also can’t resist a sunny day at the beach, ice cream, puppies, pillows, funny puns, and gumballs—blue has always been my favorite flavor! I write humorous and heartfelt picture books full of creative wordplay, unique characters, and themes of social-emotional learning, friendship, and perseverance, to name a few.
